San Antonio

After the Alamo we took a little stroll around the downtown area of San Antonio. There's some touristy stuff around, but it's largely well done and not too imposing. Most of the buildings are quite nice and they've done some spectacular things with the city's eponymous river.

All pics here.

Astrid in a relaxed position. The weather was incredible - around 25C (77F) and just a hint of wind. With cool air and very little humidity, November is a really good month to visit Texas.

Some of the river is diverted and make for lovely fountains and small waterways around downtown.

There's also a lot of water inside the grand Hyatt hotel (and shopping centre).
