Good news from Iraq

Seems the average Iraqi is both cooler of head and stronger of heart than your average Euro-wuss. A poll taken in and around Baghdad shows that 80% opposed postponing the elections, and 83% expected them to be held as planned. Since the Baghdad area is mainly populated by supposedly disgruntled Sunnis, the numbers should be even better for the country as a whole. The Kurds can't wait to set up their autonomous assembly, and the Shiites are looking forward to attaining the political power their majority status entitles them to. It's a sad day when your average camel trader shows more brains and guts than a former US president (Jimmy-blame-America-first-Carter).
