Old Tucson

From the desert museum, we went about five minutes down the road to an even cooler place - Old Tucson Studios. This is an old western town, kinda like Hollywood envisioned it, and it has been used for filming literally hundreds of movies and tv series. Among the more famous are Little House on the Prairie, High Chaparral, Rio Bravo, The Outlaw Josie Wales, Three Amigos and Tombstone. I was like a kid in a candy store here, and took lots and lots of pics.

Jo in jail. Apparently, women's jail is not all about pillowfighting in one's underwear as I had previously thought.

Me in jail. The right place for a speeding menace to society such as myself.

The "sheriff" gave an informative talk about the history of the old west and the many functions of a sheriff.

Chinese alley. For those of you who've seen Deadwood, I missed seeing Wu's pigs here.

Showgirls, wooo hooo!

This brew, which smells and tastes like a combination of dentist's office, linoleum and pure evil is apparently a local specialty. I shudder.

The gallows.

Some historic re-enactors.

Some "old" buildings. Lots more at the pic site.
