Desert Rats monument

On my drive back to Bury, I passed by Thetford Forest, which had once been the training grounds for the Desert Rats, who became famous for beating Rommel at El Alamein in WW2. The division only spent a few months on British soil, in preparation for the D-Day. Most of it in training at this place.

All pics.

Nice tank.
