Dalmunzie Castle and the Grampians

Monday we drove from Elgin down through the Grampian mountains to a nice little hotel named Dalmunzie Castle. It's not a proper castle and never was, though there used to be something there from the 1500s onwards. Most of the current building was built in the 1920s I think, and nothing is older than the 19th century. Still, fancy architecture and interior and very nice people working there. Also, very nice scenery and wildlife. Iffin you like to go for walks you'll be hard pressed to find anything better.

All Grampians pics.

If you look closely, you can see a deer in the exact middle of the photo. It ran across the road in front of the car and turned to give us a hurt look. When we insisted on looking back and even take pictures, it ran and hid behind a tree.
