Smoo Cave

We had lunch in Durness, and I was surprised at the size and quality of the pizza I was served. The food up here is vastly better than what you're usually served down south. After lunch we walked down to Smoo Cave, which has probably gotten its name from Norwegian "smug", meaning hiding place. They've found traces of habitation from several thousand years inside it.

I was damn proud of these two pics. No flash!

Today the sea comes in through a gorge, but once this was part of the cave. The roof fell in thousands of years ago.
