New Mexico Space Museum

Monday morning was spent at the New Mexico Museum of Space History in Alamogordo. It's a nice museum, with an IMAX theatre which was sadly not in operation today. Le Sigh.

It holds lots of artifacts, ranging from rockets and satellites to space food and suits. They even had a flight simulator, which allowed me to try my hand at crashing billions of dollars worth of flying gadetry into various geographical features. And that was on the easiest setting.

All pics here.

The museum. The first American chimp in space is buried by the flagpoles.

A piece of da muthafuckin moon! I am old enough to be mindblown by the concept.
