Princes Highway

Today I've had a most pleasant drive from Canberra to Eden, most of it on National Route 1, aka Princes Highway. The landscape between Batemans's Bay, where I entered it and down to Eden, where these words are written is some of the most gorgeous I've ever seen. You can't see the Pacific Ocean for most of the way, unless you make a slow detour, but there's a lot of lovely, rolling scenery all the same. And one place, where the ocean was clearly visible, is now the official Prettiest Place on the Planet.

All pics here.

From the Prettiest Place on the Planet. On one side of the road lay this landscape, with rolling green hills and a small lake.

On the other side of the road lay this - rolling green hills and the Pacific Ocean.

You can't see it on this picture, but in that creek was a small stream. *sigh*

Less than a minute later, more pretty scenery.

Even the cows look prettier here.

This is from the small, historic village of Tilba. Very cozy.

This sticker was in the back window of a truck. Heh.
