Little Norway is a place in southern Wisconsin that has grown from a Norwegian farming settlement from the 1850s via a period as a holiday retreat for a wealthy norseman to its present day condition as a museum for all things Norwegian.
I'm going to just leave you with the pics, because I'm thinking about writing a longer piece in Norwegian and then try and sell it when I get back home.
They have a replica of a staff church here, originally built for the world expo in Chicago in 1893.
It wouldn't be the US if they didn't have at least one cringeworthy display in the souvenir shop...
These are from the nearby town of Mt Horeb.
