Madison
Made a quick stop in Madison, the state capital of Wisconsin today. Took some quick photos of the State Legislature and found to my great surprise that they had a statue of Colonel Hans Christian Heg in front of it. Heg is the most famous Norwegian to have participated in the Civil War, and he was originally from my county (yay!). He is also the highest ranking soldier from Wisconsin to have been killed during the war.
