Zion NP: Wild Turkeys

The wild turkey is a much smarter animal than its tame sibling, but I still take exception with this line from Wikipedia: "Turkeys are very cautious birds and will fly or run at the first sign of danger."

As evidence, allow me to present the following series of rather damning photographic evidence, taken Tuesday in Zion National Park:

Taking its sweet time.

Bird #2, not in a hurry either.

A whole bunch crossing the road.

Looking snotty, not caring a damn that I was standing a few feet away and that cars were passing by right next to me. "Run at the first sign of danger", my ass.
