I've driven through some very pretty Scottish real estate today, and as is my wont I've taken pictures of some of it. Here they are, in no particular order:
This is the symbol of the Wickerman Festival, a kind of family-friendly Glastonbury held in July every year. The name is taken from the British film The Wicker Man from 1973, much of which was filmed in these parts.
I guess this is what they're gonna burn next summer?
Whimper.
This was a viewpoint not very far from Caerlaverock Castle. In fact, the castle is located a little to the right of the hill on the left (you can't see it).
That'll be England way out there.
This stretch of the Irish sea is known as the Nith estuary.
There's a hill behind the viewpoint. Eminently viewable from Caerlaverock and often shrouded in fog.
