Black bears in Oregon

Black bears can be found all over the United States. They are omnivores, meaning they eat pretty much anything. They also have a very fast digestion. They get blamed for a lot, but usually it's human stupidity that is to blame if someone gets killed or mauled; very few bears ever develop any aggression against humans. For the most part they're only interested in food.

They had two black bears in Oregon, though one of them was mostly brown in color. They didn't seem very happy to be there and I thought the enclosure looked way too small for two animals of that size.

All pics here.

OH HAI!

I hated the people on the other side, who got front pics of the bear. He was scrathing himself silly against the pole.
