Ray's

We had dinner on the waterfront, in a locally famous restaurant called Ray's. I had a burger, but was brave enough to try both some salmon and some clams for starters, It wasn't bad actually, though I much preferred the pineapple which the salmon came with. We also had a view of the Olympic peninsula with the Olympic mountains right ahead.

All pics here.

It's salt water, but Seattle is miles and miles from open sea.

In addition to the local fisheries, Seattle is also the winter base for a lot of fishermen from Alaska. And isn't this a nice view?

The sun and a reflection which looks just like a flying saucer if you squint and tilt your head just so.

Paddlers. It's rare to see them this close to humans, but I'm told they're more afraid of us than we are of them.

Salmon and pineapple. Mmmmmmm, pineapple.

Clams. Ok, but will never be my favorite food.
