Here is an assortement of pictures from our trip to Washington Wednesday and Thursday. We've pretty much covered the western part of the state, including the Olympic National Park parts in the northwest. While we didn't have the time to investigate the actual park to any degree, we did drive through some parts and we got a lot of nice views of the Pacific.
All Washington pics here.
A young fox we spotted along the way on Wednesday. He looked curious when we stopped, and then, almost embarrassed he took off across the road.
Hurrying down the track.
Then, after taking a huge dump on the other side, he vanished into the marshes.
Siri and I had a very amusing time today, trying to think of an explanation for this town name.
The beaches could almost be Hawaii, if not for the fact that the water was cold.
Nice shot.
That's Vancouver Island, Canada over there.
I call this picture "Captivating". It's Mt Rainier, as seen from a bridge.
From some injun reservation out by Cape Flattery.
From the same reservation. I love winding roads. This one had trees growing so densely that you almost felt like you were in a tunnel at times.
